No matter where you were that hour
when you first arrived…
the sum total of your life thus far,
for sure is GOD derived.

As you grew and then became
the person that you are,
you should know that without GOD
you wouldn’t get too far.

HE gives us opportunities
for growth that we don’t see.
We seldom recognize the “breaks”
HE’S given you and me.

How many times can you recall
opportunities that you blew?
How many times can you recall
you lost ..because of “you”?

“I” recall success’s that
slipped by because I faltered.
Yet GOD still pulled me out of it
by circumstances altered.

As time goes by I recognize
some blessings HE gave me.
It sometimes takes a while for me
to realize and see.

HE put people in my life
and changed my own location.
HE caused me to pursue new things
and alter my vocation.

I “see” it “NOW” in retrospect,
at first it wasn’t clear.
But since I’ve started looking closely
I know why I’m “here”.

I could not have planned a way
to set these things in place.
Nor could I have orchestrated,
the timing… or the pace.

I stand in awe of how GOD works
and how HE deals with me.
HIS patience and HIS guidance
that’s revealed and then… I “see”.

I have a tendency to “hurry”
because life is slipping by.
But I know there’s lots of “things”
that GOD will let me try.

I plan to keep on moving
and complete the goals I’ve set.
I thank HIM for the time I have…
that it’s not over yet.

This life that GOD has given “me”
I’ll try to do my best.
I’ll keep my eye upon my goals
and not worry about the rest.

I realize I’m ill equipped…
to make my way alone.
I need GOD in all I do…
I want to be HIS own.

I’m thankful GOD has given me
a place upon HIS earth.
I’m thankful for my parents
and allowing my own birth.

I’m thankful for my total life,
and when my time is done…
I’m thankful for LORD JESUS,

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
Psalms 32:8

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
