When GOD Speaks…

GOD speaks to us in diverse ways… of the many things in life…
Most times its for our own good… and often warns of strife…
We all should learn to “listen” and give HIM close attention…
There are times when it could be DIVINE intervention

When GOD tells you its going to rain… your umbrella you should find …
If GOD tells you there will be pain… your wounds prepare to bind…
If GOD told you to cast your nets… and row out in the deep…
Bring the tartar sauce for sure… A huge catch you will reap …

If GOD told you to pack your things… and set out on a hike…
Start looking for your walking shoes… forget about your bike…
If GOD tells you… your firm will grow… start looking for more land…
You’ll be needing much more space… than you now have on hand…

When GOD tells you that she’s the “one” and not a passing thing…
Better hit the jewelry store… and buy that special ring…
When GOD calls you to preach HIS WORD … let nothing hold you back…
For HE will give you utterance… and keep you right on track…

If you teach Sunday school to kids… because GOD said you should…
Then teach away my blessed friend … because GOD knew you would…
To be used to bless some others… because GOD called you to …
Is indeed a special blessing … no matter what HE has you do…

Helping out in all GOD’s work no matter how you’re driven ,
Demonstrates HIS love for all … and that my friends a “given”
It may come as a still small voice… or could be loudly shouted…
To be obedient and trust in HIM… is much better than is touted…

When you have the opportunity to help someone in need…
Maybe GOD is telling “you” … to step up… and take the lead…
Don’t hesitate …and ponder… and look for further notice …
GOD doesn’t like to tell us twice… of this HE never owed us …

To be used of GOD is very special …not every one’s selected…
If you’re among that elite group… be grateful you’re elected…
GOD has no special “type” in mind… Young. Old… Bald or Gray…
All that’s necessary… is to trust HIM and Obey…

I’ve never heard the voice of GOD … I don’t know the sound…
But I know when HE speaks to me… that much wisdom I have found…
