For Such A Time As THIS

I’m still wondering “why” YOU chose
to let me live so long.
Despite the many things I’ve done
that I “knew” were wrong.

I believe YOU’VE kept me here
“For such a time as this”.
There must be something else for me
that I shouldn’t miss.

What is the thing I’ve left undone…
which task still uncompleted?
Please… Show me LORD, so I can act
before my times depleted.

I have this constant “feeling”
that there’s something “I must do”.
The only explanation for this
must come just from YOU.

Please help me to “tune in” to YOU,
and listen with my heart.
If I’m assigned a task in life
I want to do my part.

If I failed to hear YOU
when you “spoke” to me before…
Please tell me once again my LORD,
I know YOU’RE at the door.

Please reveal your plan for me.
Please, make it crystal clear.
Let me know what I’m to do
while I still am here.

Is there something I should write…
or something to be said?
Is there something I have missed
although YOUR SPIRIT led?

I believe we ALL have purpose;
there’s reason for our birth.
There’s something that we ALL must “do”
before we leave this earth.

I don’t want to “miss it” LORD.
Please! Give your intervention.
I don’t want to fail my task
for lack of my attention.
