Prayers

Prayers

Now I lay me down to sleep…
I pray my Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray my lord… my soul to take.

This child’s prayer we learned while young
Like the lull-a-bye’s which once were sung…
Are distant memories, of our sweet youth…
Our first observance, of our GOD’s truth.

Our brief time here, should quicken you
To complete the things, you “ought” to do.
The youthful years, are gone so fast.
You scarcely realized, that they’re past.

There’ll be no second time around… no re-runs as it were.
It’s noted in our scriptures, “make your election sure”.
Consider those folks in your life, the one’s you hold most dear.
Give them the love that’s due them while you still are here.

As years go by, our prayers do change from childlike to adults.
It seems when we grow older we expect quicker results.
GOD knows your heart, and all the trials… you will meet each day.
Just don’t forget that scripture… Our GOD will make a way.

Sometimes a prayer is answered in ways we can’t understand.
Our GOD knows so much more than we… furthermore, it’s planned.
You may be going through a trial and think no one knows your plight.
If that’s the case, give time in prayer… our GOD can make it right.

Rekindle all those memories, of the prayers you prayed before.
Think about prayers answered; and you still have more in store.
GOD didn’t bring you all this way to “bail” when it gets tough.
Just remember How Much GOD loves you… that should be enough.

GOD will not forsake you, If HIS mercy you have sought.
GOD is all eternal, and as HE’S said… HE changes Not!!

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14
