A GODLY Vision
All of us who’re earthbound… have allotted time to spend…
GOD alone knows of us all… and when our time will end…
HE controls the flow of sand… our hourglass he holds…
HE allows sufficient time… to fit into our molds…
GOD made us originals… not copies… But unique…
There’s no other just like you… no matter where you seek…
We strive to find our purpose… before our lives are through…
Have you ever wondered; Why did HE make a You?
Heaven’s population can’t be earned, deserved, or bought…
There’s No Way to get there… no matter how it’s sought.
Being a ‘good person’ won’t constitute as “earned”
Relying on behaviors… you’re ultimately spurned…
He watches us from morn till night… Never does HE sleep…
HIS blessings on us undeserved… HIS promise HE will keep…
HE sees us when we’re being tried… and when the trial is through…
HE strengthens us with more resolve… our efforts to renew
He comforts us when we are stressed beyond our normal fare…
He reassures us all the while… and afterwards HE’s there…
GOD has noticed when we’ve failed… and when we succeeded
We have his assurance that HIS blessings are repeated.
What a gift… it overwhelms that HE would grant us life…
Also reassuring us… HE won’t leave us in our strife…
HE knows we are made of flesh… and all flesh being weak…
HE further gave us guidelines… for happiness we seek…

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
