Come Ye Out From Among Them

Come Ye Out From Among Them

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you. 2 Corinthians 6:17

T.V. shows encourage
sinful acts of every type.
They glamorize immoral shows
and fill our minds with hype.
The fashion world has told young ladies…
also vain young men…
Show more cleavage, show your “abs”
Do It! … Skin is In!

Evil has been in this world
long before our own conception.
We’re often drawn into it’s realm
when we lack perception.
We should carefully scrutinize,
what we hear and what they say.
The subtle lies that satan weaves
make some sins seem “o.k.”

Frivolity and wickedness
prevail in most their choices.
They’d rather schedule vulgar shows
than listen to pure voices.
We’ve all heard that old expression
“The Piper must be paid.”
Don’t enter into lustful thoughts…
don’t let ourselves be swayed.

We’re well aware of what the “world”
is doing… and is saying.
We don’t need “new ways to sin”…
we should consider praying.
How do we fight against this foe
so intent on our destruction??
Just open up the word of GOD,
Our manual of instruction.

It’s true that evil does surround us…
the world has gone that way.
But you don’t have to welcome it,
just let your nay be nay.
Come ye out from among them…
GOD’S scripture has been quoted.
Reinforce your righteous “morals”
before they are eroded.

It’s not as hard as you may think
to look the other way.
You don’t have to “hang around”
when evil has it’s say.
No one forces you to view
a movie that’s impure.
Select a decent show… or abstain…
another certain cure.

Avoid the situations which may tempt you to succumb.
To look upon an evil thing… is nothing short of dumb.
Someday the battle will be over
all sin will be removed.
The evil that is in this world,
by HIM… will be reproved.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].
1 Corinthians 10:13

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:3-5

¶Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 2:15-17

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Romans 1:28-32
