Choose Or Lose
Choose Or Lose
JESUS said HE would return…
but if “you” knew the date…
Would you continue on in sin
or would you hesitate?
After all, HE would forgive us
for each sin performed.
Would you engage in sinfulness
or show HIM you’ve reformed?
GOD looks upon our “hearts” HE said…
and not upon our person.
Why would you take a chance with sin,
when things for you could worsen?
Even if you “knew” the date…
GOD has decreed for HIS return…
Would you try to squeeze sin in,
and risk a fatal burn?
Would you be a better person,
making friends with those you meet?
Or would you simply keep ignoring
those new folks you greet?
Would you go to Church on Sunday?
Would you cease drinking booze?
There’s many vices we could have…
which ones would “you” lose?
You may elect to keep on sinning
with your mistress on the sly.
Or your boyfriend still comes calling
when your husband isn’t nigh.
There’s many forms of evil
we could partake in every day .
If we knew how long we had
“then” we’d have more time to play.
Besides … if my sins are cleansed,
why should I end them “now”?
Doesn’t JESUS wipe them clean
“after” I make that vow?
This is true! HE does forgive us
for all the sins we’ve done.
But “why” would you want to add some more?
Why another one??
We should be grateful … we’re forgiven…
and we’ve received HIS Grace.
JESUS paid a grievous price
for our sins to erase.
Why would you think to add one more
to your list of sins committed?
HE’S forgiven us for all of them…
even sins we’ve not admitted.
Don’t think that you could fool our GOD…
HE doesn’t wink at sin.
You can’t live with one foot in the world…
and expect to walk right in.
NOW’s the time to take a stand!
Even if you knew that date…
Forsake your sins and live for HIM…
with GOD it’s not too late.
No man knows that day or hour
that our GOD alone has “set”!
But if we did … we should be grateful…
that HE has paid our “debt”.
We “all” should be “expecting”
that day HE calls us out …
Keep listening for the trumpet…
and also for HIS shout!

¶Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
And five of them were wise, and five [were] foolish.
They that [were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
But the wise answered, saying, [Not so]; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
