Change

CHANGE

A “change” that we can live with,
a phrase that was repeated.
Thus far only promises
that have yet, to be heeded.

What brilliant moves are coming up
that weren’t made before?
What new strategies forthcoming,
what great plans are in store?

Sparse employment, lack of funds,
and factories that are closing.
Prevalent in all the land
ask questions most are posing.

When will the people “see” the change?
How long must we wait?
Should we feel “encouraged” now?
Or at some future date?

The posturing, and attitudes,
of those who wish to “lead”
diminishes when asked if “they”
have ever felt “our” need.

When asked of plans forthcoming
on how to mend our fences,
they skillfully dodge questions
then rhetoric commences.

What glorious improvements
do new “leaders” now project?
What wonderful occurrence’s
should we soon “expect”?

They said that they could “fix it”…
we should have no doubt.
How much time will be expired
since the “old” regime is out?

Many “leaders” now in place
claim they have solutions.
Yet “Other” cultures they esteem,
promote our own delutions.

America’s own sovereignty
once firmly here entrenched…
has been attacked by those inside;
our patriotism quenched.

Individuality, a trait once prized…
most highly
is scorned by those in power…
restricted very slyly.

Your position is secured
if your comments you refrain.
We’d be much less trouble
if we’d cease to use our brain.

Lets pray the changes coming up
aren’t changes for the worse.
It could be summed up with few words;
a well known Bible verse.

Ephesians 5:, six through eleven
determines our set course.
More credible these passages
than any other source.

“Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Ephesians 5:6-11

Quotes by Thomas Jefferson:

“I consider the foundation of the Constitution as laid on this ground: That ‘all powers not delegated to the United States, by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States or to the people’ (10th Amendment). To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specifically drawn around the powers of Congress, is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible to any definition.”
Thomas Jefferson Source: letter to George Washington; 15 February, 1791

“The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.”
Thomas Jefferson
