Comparison

I'm not as bad as "whatshisname",
they're evil that's for sure.
I don't do the things they do,
my life is much more "pure".

I don't drink and gamble
and try to "generally" be fair.
When and if they need my help
"I'm" usually, right there.

I stopped stealing years ago
and haven't lied "too much"...
Quit hanging with my rowdy friends,
and haven't kept in touch.

I've even went to church some Sunday's
and heard the message through.
Also when they took the offering,
I put some cash in "too".

Considering, my kindness's...
I'm surely "heaven bound".
After all, there's not too many guy's like "me" around.

I haven't done the things that I
have heard would merit hell.
The fact of the whole matter is;
"I've lived my life quite well".

GOD loves me... I have heard this term;
HE'LL recognize my face.
HE'LL remember all my kindness
and show me to "my" place.

When compared to "evildoers"
and wicked folks on earth...
GOD will surely see the "good"
and then compare our worth.

When GOD sees I've lived my life
with comparative less sin...
I'm sure that HE will note the difference
and tell me to come in.

When compared to others that have killed,
or stole, or cheated...
I'll be much more welcome then,
I'm sure to be well treated.

The last five stanzas shown above
is "what" some folks believe.
That there's no need to know our JESUS
when we finally leave.

It's up to Us that "know" the truth
to share our GODS Good News.
We must advise the uninformed
and correct their narrow views.

GOD has told us very clearly,
tell all the world of HIM;
Warning the unruly folks
who may teeter at hell's brim.

This truth may not be "well received"
but tell the truth we "must"! There's only "One Way" we'll see GOD...
it's JESUS we must trust!

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

But what saith it ? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Romans 10:3-11

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Romans 10:13-15
